Enhanced PreX Travel Insurance covers you for pre-existing medical conditions during your travels, such as diabetes, heart conditions, high blood pressure, asthma, eczema and more.
Yes, you can. If you have a pre-existing medical condition and want coverage related to that condition, you can choose Income’s Enhanced PreX Travel Insurance.
Pre-existing medical condition refers to any injury or illness (including any complications which may arise):
- which you knew about before the start of your trip; or
- which you have received diagnosis, consultation, medical treatment or prescribed drugs for in the 12 months before the start of your trip; or
- which you have been asked to get medical treatment or medical advice for by a medical practitioner within 12 months before the start of your trip.
Our travel insurance does not cover claims for loss or liability directly or indirectly caused by or arising from pre-existing medical conditions if you have been given a terminal prognosis with a life expectancy of less than 12 months.
Enhanced PreX Travel Insurance is meant for travellers with pre-existing medical conditions. Income lists examples such as diabetes, heart conditions, high blood pressure, asthma and eczema, so it is suitable for travellers looking for cover related to ongoing or chronic medical conditions.

That depends on how much cover you want for your trip. Income Insurance offers three plans: Basic, Superior and Prestige. If you want a higher level of cover, Prestige offers the highest limit for pre-existing medical conditions. Superior and Prestige also include travel inconvenience benefits due to pre-existing medical conditions, with a 25% co-payment applying for trip cancellation, postponement, shortening and disruption claims.
Yes. Enhanced PreX Travel Insurance includes up to $300,000 coverage for overseas medical expenses and emergency medical evacuation due to pre-existing medical conditions.
You will not be required to purchase an Enhanced PreX plan to be covered for your family member or travelling companion’s pre-existing medical condition. You can purchase an Enhanced PreX Superior or Prestige plan if you have a pre-existing medical condition and you want to be covered for travel inconveniences such as being forced to cancel your trip due to your pre-existing medical condition.
You can purchase a Per-trip policy before your trip or even up to one day after departure from Singapore, which provides flexibility for last-minute travel planning.
Alternatively, we also offer FlexiTravel Plus Travel Insurance for those on a short getaway in Asia for one to fourteen days.
Enhanced PreX Travel Insurance covers up to 60 days per trip for Per-trip plans and up to 90 days per trip for Yearly plans, depending on the policy selected.

[5]This policy does not cover claims for loss or liability directly or indirectly caused by or arising from extreme sports which involve speed, height, danger, a high level of physical exertion, highly specialized gear or spectacular stunts, whether they are played competitively or non-competitively, in a team or individually. Adventurous activity means any recreational activity commonly available to the public that is done overseas during your trip for leisure or as part of the tour and which:
- is undertaken while complying with all safety procedures, such as wearing safety equipment and following rules and regulations; whether specifically advised or generally expected of a reasonable person,
- where guidance and supervision of licensed guides or instructors are available, the recreational activity must be carried out under the guidance and supervision of licensed guides or instructors of the tour operator or activity provider, and
- is not excluded under the general exclusions listed in part 4 of the general conditions of the policy.
[6]Family cover provides coverage for 1 or 2 adults who are spouses or partners at the time of purchase and any number of their children as long as:
- Adult(s) is 16 years and above and is the parent or legal guardian of the children
- Child(ren) is below 21 years old and is the biological or legally adopted child(ren) or ward of the adult named under the policy
- Adult(s) and child(ren) must be insured under the same policy
- Adult(s) and child(ren) must travel together if they are insured under single trip plans (not applicable for yearly plans).
[7]You must be insured under your existing yearly plan policy for at least 12 months and successfully renew your policy to be continuously insured for another 12 months. You will be notified in your policy document of your entitlement to the Travel Renewal Bonus upon successful renewal of your policy.

There are certain conditions whereby the benefits under this plan will not be payable. You can refer to your policy contract for the precise terms, conditions and exclusions of the plan. The policy contract will be issued when your application is accepted.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC).
