Here’s what you get with HomeTeamNS Insurance Scheme.

Additional payout in the event of death

Coverage against death as well as an additional 25% of the sum assured if death is due to an accident.

Permanent and total disablement benefit

Protection against permanent and total disablement due to illness and accident with additional payouts[1] in addition to receiving the sum assured.

Permanent and partial disablement benefit

Receive a percentage of the sum assured in the event of permanent and partial disablement due to an accident[2].

    The yearly premium will be deducted via your GIRO account with us. The premiums that you pay are based on the sum assured and insured’s age next birthday. Premium rates will change when the insured enters a higher age band. Premium rates are not guaranteed and may be reviewed from time to time.

  • Eligibility

    You must be a HomeTeamNS member to apply for cover under this plan. You may apply the plan for your husband or wife and children4 if they are also a Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident or foreigner who is working or residing in Singapore.

    Amount you can be insured for

    You can choose your sum assured in multiples of $10,000, up to $300,000 each for you and your husband or wife, and up to $150,000 for your child.

    Amount you can be insured for

    The sum assured is in multiples of $10,000, up to $150,000 each for you and your husband or wife, and up to $50,000 for your child.

    No, it is only compulsory for you (the main insured) to be a HomeTeamNS member.

    Yes you can, as long as the total sum assured for yourself does not exceed $300,000 for Insurance Scheme and $150,000 for Living Policy.

    Yes, you will be covered as HomeTeamNS plans offer a 24-hour worldwide insurance cover.

    Yes, you are covered. HomeTeamNS plans are exclusively for HomeTeamNS members, your policy will remain in force unless you terminate your HomeTeamNS membership.

    Yes, your HomeTeamNS plans will be terminated when you terminate your HomeTeamNS membership.

    No, your spouse and children will not be covered under the HomeTeamNS plans once you terminate either your HomeTeamNS membership or your HomeTeamNS plans.

    We are currently migrating our LUV, SAFRA and HomeTeamNS policies from one system to another system.  While you can view your policy information via our My Income customer portal via a link after you have logged in to the portal, you will not be able to view your policy information via My Income app.

    We seek your understanding that this is a transition period and that you will be able to view your policy information via My Income customer portal and My Income app after we have completed the migration in 2026.

    The daily Hospital Cash Benefit is payable up to a maximum of 365 days per confinement for hospitalisation in Singapore only.

    We will pay you $10 for every $10,000 sum assured for every day you are confined in a hospital. This is provided that each hospital confinement have to be for a minimum period of six consecutive hours before any benefit is payable. This is a separate benefit and does not affect your total sum assured.

    No, you are generally not required to undergo medical checkup when you apply for HomeTeamNS plans. However, if our underwriters require a medical checkup to underwrite your application, we will notify you in writing.

    No, your premium rates are not guaranteed. The premiums that you pay are based on the sum assured and the insured’s age next birthday. Premium rates will change when the insured enters a higher age band. Income reserves the right to review and change the premium rates from time to time by giving three months written notice to HomeTeamNS and the new premium rates shall apply to all insured.

    No, the sum assured for your spouse and children should not exceed your sum assured unless your sum assured has been reduced by Income due to underwriting reasons.

    Understand the details

    [1] We pay a further monthly payout of 1% of the sum assured for the next 24 months or until the insured reaches the age of 65, whichever is earliest. 

    [2] Permanent and partial disablement must happen within 90 days from the date of the accident. 

    [3] A survival period of 30 days from the date the insured is diagnosed with the critical illness will apply. For major cancer, coronary artery by-pass surgery, heart attack of specified severity and angioplasty and other invasive treatment for coronary artery, a waiting period of 90 days from the start date of the insured’s cover will apply. 

    [4] Your husband or wife and children will be eligible for the application of coverage only if you, as the insured and member of HomeTeamNS, are covered under the same plan. The cover for your husband or wife and children shall end automatically when your cover ends. The sum assured for your husband or wife and children should not exceed your sum assured unless your sum assured has been reduced by Income Insurance due to underwriting reasons. The cover for your husband or wife will also end if you are separated or divorced from your husband or wife. 

    [5] Premium rate is applicable only to policyholders up to age 45 (age next birthday).

    There are certain conditions whereby the benefits under this plan will not be payable. You can refer to your policy contract for the precise terms, conditions and exclusions of the plan. The policy contract will be issued when your application is accepted.

    HomeTeamNS Insurance Scheme and HomeTeamNS Living Policy are underwritten and issued by Income Insurance.

    This policy is protected under the Policy Owners' Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
