Travel Claim

Here are the steps for making a travel insurance claim.

Before submitting

  • Please submit your claim within 30 days of the insured event(s).

Step 1: Complete claim form

Please print and complete the travel claim form.

Step 2: Prepare required documents

Please note that the list of documents below is not exhaustive. Other documents may be requested if necessary.

Personal accident / medical expenses

  • Flight itinerary, boarding pass or passport stamp which shows the date of departure and return to Singapore
  • Original final hospital or medical or ambulance bills and receipts
  • Medical report or inpatient discharge summary stating onset date, cause, extent of permanent disability (if applicable) and nature of injury or illness
  • Police report (accident only)
  • Death certificate, autopsy report, coroner's findings (death claim)
  • A copy of the reimbursement letter or discharge voucher from the insurer or employer (if there is a previous refund from another insurer or employer)
  • Death certificate or autopsy report or toxicological report or coroner’s findings (death claim only)
  • Proof of policyholder’s or person claiming’s relationship with the person who has died (death claim only)

Cancelling your trip / Postponing your trip / Shortening your trip

  • Flight itinerary, boarding pass or passport stamp which shows the date of departure and return to Singapore
  • Tour itinerary and tour booking invoice or receipt
  • Travel agency/airline written confirmation on the cost of non-refundable prepaid travelling expenses (including cancellation fees)
  • Written advice/medical certificate from a qualified attending medical practitioner confirming unfit to travel (for cases of serious injury or illness)
  • Death certificate (where someone's death caused this cancellation/postponement/shortening)
  • Proof of relationship between the person who is sick or who died

Travel delay / Overbooked public transport / Missed connections / Baggage delay

  • Scheduled and revised flight itinerary, boarding pass or passport stamp which shows the date of departure and return to Singapore
  • Written confirmation from the transport operator of the public transport on the cause and length of the travel or baggage delay / overbooked public transport / missed connections
  • Delay report and acknowledgement slip (baggage delay claim)

Loss or damage of baggage & personal belongings / Losing of money / Losing of travel documents

  • Flight itinerary, boarding pass or passport stamp which shows the date of departure and return to Singapore
  • Police report of the lost item (or items)
  • Baggage loss or damage report filed with authorities or service providers
  • Confirmation letter from airlines or travel agent or operator of amount paid as compensation for the loss
  • Photographs of damaged item (or items)
  • Copy of diagnostic report from repairer stating the cause and extent of damage
  • Original repair bill or quotation of repair for damaged item (or items) or original purchase receipt or credit card statement and warranty card of the lost or damaged item (or items)
  • Original invoice for the economy-class transport and accommodation expenses incurred to apply to replace the lost passport or travel documents
  • Original receipt for passport replacement/passport photograph/travel documents

Step 3: Submit the completed claim form and required documents

If your claim does not include reimbursement for medical expenses, you only need to scan the completed claim form with the supporting documents and email to pcc@income.com.sg to file your claim.  Please ensure the overall size of your email attachment(s) does not exceed 10MB as beyond that your email will not reach us due to system constraint.  In event the attachment(s) exceeds 10MB, please separate them, indicate your Travel policy number in the subject matter and label the emails as Part 1, Part 2, etc before sending to us. 

You may keep the original completed claim form and supporting documents for your own reference and need not send them to us. 


If your claim includes reimbursement for medical expenses, you will need to submit the completed claim form with the supporting documents through any of these channels:

  • At an NTUC Income branch
  • To your insurance adviser
  • By post to

You should keep a copy of the completed claim form and supporting documents for your own reference. 
 

After claim submission

We settle most claims within 10 working days after we receive all information/documents required.

We will need more time to process claims which require further clarification. For such cases, we will keep you informed of developments.
