Income Family Micro-Insurance Scheme (IFMIS)

To help youths continue with their education in times of crisis, IFMIS offers tangible support to vulnerable families in their time of need.

Our Beneficiaries

Pre-schoolers

from Ministry of Education Kindergartens or NTUC First Campus' My First Skool, and are already receiving financial assistance*

*Under the Early Childhood Development Agency's Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS)

Students

studying in a local primary, secondary, specialised school or pre-university instituition, and are already receiving financial assistance*

*Under Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme, MOE's Independent School Bursary, and Special Education Financial Assistance Scheme.

Updated 2024 Terms


The insured parent or guardian of the eligible child or ward must be between 16 and 65 of age, whose child or ward meets the eligibility criteria.

An eligible pre-schooler must be:

  • Enrolled in a kindergarten under the Ministry of Education (MOE)  and is a recipient of Early Childhood Development Agency’s Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS); or
  • Enrolled in NTUC My First Skool operated childcare centre and whose gross household income or per capita income does not exceed $4,500 a month or $1,125 a month respectively; or



An eligible student must be:

  • Studying in a local primary, secondary, pre-university or specialised school and is a recipient of the Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS); or
  • Studying in an independent school and is a recipient of financial assistance under scheme that is administered by MOE and whose gross household income or per capita income does not exceed $3,000 a month or $750 a month respectively; or
  • Studying in a government-funded Special Education (SPED) school and is a recipient of financial assistance for SPED.

How Do We Help


We provide premium-free insurance protection in the unfortunate event of death or total and permanent disability (TPD) of a parent or guardian.

Offers a pay-out of $5,000 to eligible families
To help children and youths from low-income families cope financially in times of need. Each eligible family can submit only one claim per calendar year.
