MOH has stepped up their risk assessment of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) situation to Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DOSCRON) Orange this afternoon. You can refer to MOH’s official announcement here: https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/risk-assessment-raised-to-dorscon-orange.
- Income Office and Service Branches to operate as usual
Income’s offices and service branches, including all branches and client advisory centres, lite branches, and the Motor Service Centre, will remain open and operate as normal.
Temperature screening for all staff and visitors, as well as travel declaration for all visitors, will continue.
In addition to visitors who are unwell or exhibit respiratory symptoms, those who have arrived from China, Hong Kong or Macau within 14 days will also be denied entry to Income’s premises.
- Mandatory temperature taking and use of face masks
From Monday, 10 February, all staff will be required to take their temperature and submit the readings twice daily via this online form (temperature).
As a precautionary measure, we will continue to provide staff who have higher risk exposure to the virus (i.e. Staff at Income branches and client advisory centres, lite branches and Motor Service Centre, as well as Orange Force riders) three surgical masks weekly. According to the MOH, you wear a mask only if you are unwell.
- Continuous health monitoring, including 14-day monitoring of persons-at-risk
Staff who are unwell must seek medical attention immediately. Staff must also alert your Manager if you are suspected to have or have tested positive for the 2019-nCOv. The Manager must then alert the HOD immediately.
Staff or visitors at Income offices who may be suspected to have the 2019-nCOv will be escorted by an assigned Flu Manager to the designated isolation area. Please inform the following Flu Managers and your HOD to carry out the necessary precautionary actions, if you are alerted to a suspected case. Please refrain from taking the matter into your own hands.
Flu Managers
- Income Centre – Charlotte Kong (Hp: 9128-2882)
- Tampines Point – Daniel Tan (Hp: 9773-4005)
- Paya Lebar Square – Syafrizal (Hp: 9633-7249)
We will continue to place staff, who have returned to Singapore from China, Hong Kong and Macau for less than 14 days, as well as, those who have had close contact with relatives and friends who arrived from these countries for less than 14 days, under a 14-day monitoring period. They must complete this online form (14 day monitoring).
During this monitoring period, impacted staff are to work from home and to submit temperature readings twice daily via this online form (temperature).
- Practice social distancing
Staff are strongly encouraged to minimise movements between Income offices and to make arrangements for teleconferences or video-conferences. This also applies to meetings with vendors and suppliers.
Non-business critical events, training and seminars will be postponed. Staff are also strongly discouraged from attending large-scale events, conferences or seminars.
Staff should also reconsider all non-essential business and personal travel. Staff must also declare all upcoming travel plans using this online form (travel).
- Continue to stay vigilant and be socially responsible
Staff are reminded to practice these precautionary measures that are aligned to MOH’s public health advisories.
- Seek medical attention promptly and wear a mask if you are unwell;
- Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;
- Maintain good personal hygiene and practise frequent hand washing with soap;
- Stay update via MOH’s website(http://www.moh.gov.sg/) and Gov.sg (gov.sg/2019ncov).
- Comply with control/precautionary measures.
- BCM reps must be familiar with their department’s BCP
All BCM reps should take this opportunity to get familiarised with their department’s BCP so that we can be responsive to the developing situation, especially if there is widespread community transmission.
We remain fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of our staff, customers and general public, and will continue our business operations in strict compliance with advisories issued by MOM, MOH and other authorities to minimise risk of infection and community spread of the 2019-nCoV.
