To further safeguard our collective well-being, we will be introducing additional precautionary measures in view of the evolving 2019-nCoV situation in China.
- Temperature screening and travel declaration at Income offices and branches
- From Wednesday, 29 Jan 2020, all staff/reps and visitors to all Income offices (Income Centre, Paya Lebar Quarter and Tampines) and branches (including lite branches) are required to go through temperature screening upon entering the premise. We are embarking on this precautionary measure as part of the company’s pandemic response procedure. Those who are visibly unwell or registered a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or more at the temperature check-points will not be allowed into the offices or branches, and will be advised to seek medical attention immediately.
- All visitors to Income offices and branches, including contractors and vendors, are required to complete a visitor health declaration for record.
- Avoid meetings/contact with contractors and vendors who have arrived or are arriving from China, Hong Kong and Macau at Income premises
- Reps are encouraged to make arrangements for teleconferences or vide-conferences under such circumstances.
- Reps who have come in close contact with relatives and/or friends from China, Hong Kong and Macau are also placed in a 14-day monitoring period
- Reps are to inform their Manager should they come in close contact with people from China, Hong Kong and Macau after 16 Jan 2020.
- Rep’s first day of interaction with the said people is considered Day 0 and you are to return to the office on Day 15.
- Reps are required to work from home during this period.
- Additional actions to be taken by reps who have been placed on a 14-day monitoring period
- We issued an advisory on 27 Jan’20 to reps who had travelled to and are returning from China, Hong Kong and Macau to be placed on a monitoring period of 14 consecutive days. During this monitoring period, staff are advised to take the following precautionary actions which are aligned to MOH’s advisory.
- Stay at home as much as possible although you may leave home to purchase daily necessities or to attend to important personal matters;
- Minimize time spent in public places and/or avoid close contact with others, including colleagues;
- To maintain a record of persons that have come into close contact with you during the monitoring period;
- Avoid going to crowded places and attending social gatherings;
- Monitor your health closely and seek medical attention if you develop fever or symptoms of acute respiratory illness such as cough or shortness of breath;
- Inform medical staff and doctor of your travel history when seeking medical attention and to wear a surgical mask before leaving your home and avoid taking public transport;
- Be contactable at all times;
- Update your Manager if you are unwell and are seeking medical attention;
- Call 995 for an ambulance to take you to the hospital in emergency situations (e.g. difficulty in breathing).
- Additionally, we require reps to take their temperature twice daily and report their temperature readings via this online temperature monitoring form accordingly during this 14-day monitoring period.
- Observe good practices to stay responsive to evolving situation
- Reps are also required to inform your Manager about your upcoming travel plans by submitting this online travel declaration form.
