1 Building means the following: For Housing Development Board (HDB) flats, condominiums, apartments or cluster houses, it will include the building structure (but not the foundations), fixtures and fittings based on HDB’s or the property developer’s standard specifications. This means we will not cover areas you do not own or which are not provided just for your use. For example, this can include shared areas such as corridors, car parks, stairways, lift lobbies and swimming pools. For landed properties such as bungalows, semi-detached and terrace houses, it will include the building structure (but not the foundations), garages, outbuildings, swimming pools, terraces, footpaths, driveways, gardens, gates, fences and other private areas you own and which the public do not have access to.
2 Contents means any physical and movable household items or personal belongings including money and valuables kept within the premises that belong to you or your family members. But it does not include, amongst other items, motor vehicles, pets and items connected with your business or trade. Please refer to the policy contract for the exclusions and the benefit sub-limits for each type of content.
3 Renovations means improvements and additions made within the premises by you or any previous owner or tenant in the form of fixtures and fittings. For example, this could include flooring, built-in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets. They do not form part of the building cover.
4 Fire is an insured event.
5 Bursting or overflowing of domestic water tanks, apparatus or pipes in your premises (but not damage to water tanks, apparatus and pipes and expenses for tracing the source of the leak). The premises must not be left unoccupied. Unoccupied means when the premises have not been lived in by you, or by a person authorised by you, for more than 60 days in a row.
a. Income is offering a 25% discount on the first 3-years premiums payable to new applicants who successfully purchase Income Enhanced Home Insurance 3-year Plan (“Qualifying Policies”) from 2 November to 31 December 2021 (inclusive of both dates) (“Promotion Period”) and enter or quote a valid campaign code “25HOME” via:
- Income website online at https://insurance.income.com.sg/enhanced-home-insurance; or
- Income advisors; or
- Any Income branches; or
- The Home product hotline 6788 1111
The Qualifying Policies will receive a 15% discount for subsequent renewals.
b. Applicants who successfully purchase the Qualifying Policy during the Promotion Period, and enters or quotes a valid campaign code “25HOME” while purchasing the Qualifying Policy, will be entitled to the following “Promotional Gift” depending on the total premium of the “Qualifying Policy”. Minimum net total premium of $180, enjoys gift ($25 CapitaVouchers), minimum net total premium of $300, enjoys gift ($40 CapitaVouchers), minimum net total premium of $500, enjoys gift ($60 CapitaVouchers), minimum net total premium of $935, enjoys gift ($120 CapitaVouchers).
c. The Applicant will be entitled to the Promotional Gift applicable to the total premium of all Qualifying Policy purchased. For example, if the Applicant purchased two Enhanced Home Insurance plans with premium of $150 and $120, the total combined premium is $270 and he will be entitled to $25 worth of CapitaVouchers. If the Applicant purchased two Enhanced Home Insurance plans with premium of $300 and $400, the total combined premium is $700 and he will be entitled to $60 worth of CapitaVouchers.
d. This promotion is only applicable to new Qualifying Policies.
e. This promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.
f. An applicant who applies for the Qualifying Policies within 90 days from the date of expiry or cancellation of any existing Enhanced Home Insurance or Home Insurance policy with Income for the same address will not be eligible for this promotion.
g. Each new applicant is entitled to the Promotional Gift for each Qualifying Policy successfully purchased during the Promotion Period that meet the criteria in b. Redemption letters (“Redemption Letter”) for the Promotional Gift will be mailed to the successful applicants within two months from the end of the Promotion Period at their addresses registered with Income during the applications for the Qualifying Policies. Successful applicants must bring along the Redemption Letter for the redemption of the Promotional Gift. Note that the value of the Promotional Gift will be deducted from any refunds due to cancellations or endorsements of the policy, whereby the endorsed policy does not qualify for the Promotional Gift.
h. The Promotional Gift can be redeemed by the successful applicants at any of the collection centres listed in the redemption letter. The Promotional Gift must be collected within two months from the date of the redemption letter. Failing which, the successful applicant shall be deemed to have forfeited his/her right to the Promotional Gift and no compensation will be given or paid in lieu.
i. The Promotional Gift is given on the condition that the Qualifying Policy issued must not be terminated, cancelled or voided for any reason whatsoever within 6 months from the policy issuance date. Otherwise, the applicant will have to reimburse Income the full amount and value of the Promotional Gift and/or any replacement item(s). The full value refers to the state worth price or the face value of the Promotional Gift.
j. The Promotional Gift including any unused value cannot be exchanged for cash, kind, or other denominations and are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing merchant.
k. Income reserves the right to replace any Promotional Gift with items of similar value (“Replacement Item”) at any time without prior notice.
l. Income shall not be liable to any applicant or any party, whether in contract or tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any liabilities, losses and damages, claims, costs and expenses or for any special or consequential damages or losses in connection with, related to or resulting from the use of the Promotional Gift or the Replacement Item (if any).
m. Income is not the manufacturer or merchant of the Promotional Gift or any Replacement Item, and provides no warranty in respect of it. Income shall not be responsible for all warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose and against infringement of intellectual property rights in respect of the Promotional Gift or any Replacement Item.
n. No joint venture, sponsorship, tie up, agency or any other relationship is intended or created between Income and the manufacturer or merchant of the Promotional Gift or any Replacement Item. Neither is this promotion intended or deemed to be a connection with or use of the brand name of the Promotional Gift or any Replacement Item.
o. Income reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this promotion without any prior notice.
p. Income’s decision on all matters relating to this promotion (including the issuance of the Promotional Gift and/or the replacement item(s)) shall be final, conclusive and binding. No appeal will be entertained.
q. This promotion does not affect or change any term of the policy contract for the Qualifying Policy. If there is any inconsistency between any term of this promotion and any term of the policy contract for the Qualifying Policy, the term of the policy contracts shall prevail.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
