Can Yours And Your Partner’s Horoscopes Impact Your Family?
Ever wondered why some people are better at starting projects than finishing them while others are able to slowly and steadily reach their goals?
Well, your horoscope just might have the answer!
According to the principles of astrology, your horoscope may influence your personality and give you an indication of what drives you in life. It may offer insights into your psychological biases and the actions you take as a result.
In fact, horoscopes may also shed light on the synergy between you and your partner, especially when it comes to your protection and saving styles.
What does your horoscope have to say about your personal styles?
Aries (21 March to 19 April)
Aries are pioneering sorts who are eager to start new projects, but are not always great at finishing them. When it comes to finances, Aries’ impulsivity can result in overspending.
Taurus (20 April to 20 May)
Tauruses are reliable hard workers with a slow, steady and consistent way of getting things done as they value security and protection all round. This can often be seen in the way they manage their finances, stocking away money diligently.
Gemini (21 May to 20 June)
Geminis are sociable and spontaneous people by nature. They love to live life on the edge and have a tendency to spend money impulsively.
Cancer (21 June to 22 July)
Security is important to Cancers, and they often feel the need to protect themselves and those they love. They tend to be rather sentimental and reluctant to effect huge changes, so it is important that they find comfortable and less risky ways to manage their money and health.
Leo (23 July to 22 August)
Leos love to throw caution to the wind. They need to take care not to overspend and to spend some time planning for the future especially where health and finances are concerned.
Virgo (23 August to 22 September)
Virgos are meticulous, detail-oriented types who enjoy amassing and organising knowledge. This often translates to well-crafted and holistic future plans, as well as the ability to carry them out.
Libra (23 September to 22 October)
Balance and fairness are paramount to Libras. This need for equilibrium often leads them to focus on striking a balance between their financial portfolio and protection needs.
Scorpio (23 October to 21 November)
Scorpios tend to immerse themselves completely in whatever they do. This all-or-nothing approach means that Scorpios would do well to take charge of their finances and health as early as possible.
Sagittarius (22 November to 21 December)
Friendly, cheerful Sagittarius people have no shortage of friends, and tend to be optimistic and enthusiastic about their lives. This attitude can lead to a certain carelessness about money or a reluctance to sit down and plan for their general well-being.
Capricorn (22 December to 19 January)
Capricorns are goal-oriented folks. Their steady and practical nature lead them to be more conservative when it comes to spending money and taking care of their health and well-being.
Aquarius (20 January to 18 February)
Those born in Aquarius tend to shun convention in favour of the road less travelled. Due to Aquarians’ need for freedom, they might plan their future in ways that surprise mainstream society.
Pisces (19 February to 20 March)
Pisceans go with the flow and are not particularly assertive about achieving their goals. This can be a problem when it comes to managing their health and finances, as without a push from loved ones, they might not actively plan ahead.
So how does knowing all this help with a couple's finances?
Knowing your horoscope as well as that of your partner’s can help you identify your respective strong and weak points. It’ll also allow you to mutually set your priorities and find the right savings and protection plans that best meets your family’s needs.
I spoke to some real-life couples to understand the challenges and struggles they face.
For May and Desmond, a couple in their mid-to-late thirties, his Aquarius nature serves as a more adventurous counterpoint to her security-loving Taurus personality. Together, they make a good team.
May admits, “I’m the risk averse one and believe more in being heavily insured. But he thinks we should grow our money by investing more of it and doesn’t set aside much for health insurance. He’s the CFO in the family since he’s a trader by profession so he manages our investments.”
But ever the cautious Taurus, she adds, “Right now, we are saving up for our matrimonial home, so we can’t take on too much risk with our investments.”
For Andrew, who’s a Libra, managing his finances is a balancing act that he is constantly trying to get right, while accounting for his wife, Gayle’s tendency to overspend like a true Leo. She hence usually leaves the management of the family’s finances to Andrew.
He says, “Most of the time, I’m the one trying to save as I’m earning more, but I still tend to be a bit of a spendthrift. I usually buy stocks, but as I’m quite a risk-taker, I do incur losses from time to time as well. Gayle and I both save regularly and have investment-linked plans but we don’t have a huge amount of cash savings. Sometimes we go on holiday and there goes all the money. Between the two of us, we also have really basic health insurance policies which I guess doesn’t fare well for our future.”
“Perhaps, if I ask her to take on a more active role in managing the family’s finances, that might convince her to cut her spending,” he added.
Every horoscope sign has its unique traits, and similarly, everyone’s insurance needs are also different.
