  • Q:If I wish to purchase the HomeTeamNS plans for my spouse and children, is it compulsory for them to have HomeTeamNS memberships?

    A:

    No, it is only compulsory for you (the main insured) to be a HomeTeamNS member.

  • Q:Can I purchase both the HomeTeamNS plans (i.e. HomeTeamNS Insurance Scheme and HomeTeamNS Living Policy) for myself?

    A:

    Yes you can, as long as the total sum assured for yourself does not exceed $300,000 for Insurance Scheme and $150,000 for Living Policy.

  • Q:If I die overseas, will I be covered?

    A:

    Yes, you will be covered as HomeTeamNS plans offer a 24-hour worldwide insurance cover.

  • Q:If I were to change jobs or in between jobs, am I still covered under HomeTeamNS plans?

    A:

    Yes, you are covered. HomeTeamNS plans are exclusively for HomeTeamNS members, your policy will remain in force unless you terminate your HomeTeamNS membership.

  • Q:If I terminate my HomeTeamNS membership, will my HomeTeamNS plans be terminated?

    A:

    Yes, your HomeTeamNS plans will be terminated when you terminate your HomeTeamNS membership.

  • Q:If I terminate my HomeTeamNS membership or my HomeTeamNS plans, will my spouse and children still be insured under the HomeTeamNS plans?

    A:

    No, your spouse and children will not be covered under the HomeTeamNS plans once you terminate either your HomeTeamNS membership or your HomeTeamNS plans.

Product Coverage
  • Q:Is the Hospital Cash Benefit limited to 365 days per lifetime or per policy year and will any claims reduce my total sum assured?

    A:

    The daily Hospital Cash Benefit is payable up to a maximum of 365 days per confinement for hospitalisation in Singapore only.

    We will pay you $10 for every $10,000 sum assured for every day you are confined in a hospital. This is provided that each hospital confinement have to be for a minimum period of six consecutive hours before any benefit is payable. This is a separate benefit and does not affect your total sum assured.

  • Q:What are the general exclusions for HomeTeamNS Insurance Scheme and HomeTeamNS Living Policy?

  • Q:If I am interested to take up HomeTeamNS plans but I am not a HomeTeamNS member, how do I apply for my HomeTeamNS membership?

    A:

    You may apply for HomeTeamNS membership online.

  • Q:Am I required to go for a medical checkup to apply for HomeTeamNS plans?

    A:

    No, you are generally not required to undergo medical checkup when you apply for HomeTeamNS plans. However, if our underwriters require a medical checkup to underwrite your application, we will notify you in writing.

  • Q:Are my premium rates guaranteed?

    A:

    No, your premium rates are not guaranteed. The premiums that you pay are based on the sum assured and the insured’s age next birthday. Premium rates will change when the insured enters a higher age band. Income reserves the right to review and change the premium rates from time to time by giving three months written notice to HomeTeamNS and the new premium rates shall apply to all insured.

  • Q:Can my spouse and children’s sum assured be of a higher coverage than mine?

    A:

    No, the sum assured for your spouse and children should not exceed your sum assured unless your sum assured has been reduced by Income due to underwriting reasons.
