  • Q:If I were to transfer or move to another company, will I still be covered under CEGIS?

    A:

    Yes, but you are required to sign up for CEGIS cover under your new company’s master policy contract. You can continue to enjoy the benefits under your CEGIS plan as long as you continue your employment with any Corporatised Entity that has a CEGIS master policy contract with Income. Otherwise, your cover will cease upon your termination of employment with your existing company.

  • Q:What should I do if I were to transfer or move to another company?

    A:

    You have to notify Income of the date of your last day of service with your present company. Should you be joining another Corporatised Entity that has a CEGIS master policy contract with Income, please also notify us on the commencement date of your new posting. You may call our hotline at 6332 1133.

  • Q:Can my sum assured for Critical Illness Rider exceed that of the Basic Plan?

    A:

    No, the sum assured for your Critical Illness Rider cannot exceed the sum assured under your CEGIS Basic Plan.

  • Q:Can my spouse and children’s sum assured be higher than mine?

    A:

    No, the sum assured for your spouse and children should not exceed your sum assured unless your sum assured is reduced by Income due to underwriting reasons.

  • Q:If I am on No-Pay Leave, will my cover under the CEGIS plan be affected?

    A:

    Your coverage will not be affected as long as you continue to pay the premiums on the due dates by cash, cheque or GIRO during the No-Pay Leave period. Please notify us of the commencement date of your No-Pay Leave period.

    You will need to fill in and sign the No-Pay Leave Notification Form. Please mail your completed and signed form to "Income Insurance Limited, Income Centre, 75 Bras Basah Road, Singapore 189557" for the attention of “Group Business – Affinity Schemes”.

  • Q:Can I continue my coverage under the CEGIS plan if I retire, resign or leave the company?

    A:

    No, your cover and your spouse and children’s cover (if applicable) will automatically cease.

Application procedure
  • Q:Am I required to go for a medical checkup to apply for CEGIS plan?

    A:

    No, you are generally not required to undergo medical checkup when you apply for CEGIS plan. However, if our underwriters require a medical checkup to underwrite your application, we will notify you in writing.

  • Q:If I have a pre-existing illness, will my new application still be accepted?

    A:

    All new applications will be subject to underwriting. Depending on your pre-existing illness, Income may accept your application based on the following terms.

    • Reduced sum assured
    • Special terms with exclusions
  • Q:What are the payment methods available to me?

    A:

    You may check with your HR Department on the current payment method for your company.

    For most Corporatised Entities, the premium payment will be via check-off. This means that your premium (including premium for coverage of your dependants) are deducted monthly from your salary through the HR Department of your company.

    Alternatively, you can fill in and sign the GIRO Application Form and make your premium payment via GIRO (if available) as per the arrangement with the HR Department of your company.

  • Q:If I terminate my CEGIS plan, will I receive any refund?

    A:

    You can refer to the following table for the refund you will be getting.

    Half-yearlyNo surrender value. Termination of your CEGIS plan will only take effect on the next month and we will refund you the premium paid in advance for the remaining months. You will continue to be covered until the end of that month for which the event of termination occurs.

  • Q:What should I do if I wish to add my spouse or children under the CEGIS plan?

    A:

    You should note that for any new application, it will be subject to underwriting.

    You will need to fill in and sign the CEGIS Application Form and Authorisation for Salary Deduction Form and submit them to Income via your HR Department.

  • Q:How do I reduce my sum assured under the CEGIS plan?

    A:

    You will need to fill in and sign the Alteration and Declaration of Continued Insurability Form (Affinity Schemes only) for any reduction of your sum assured. However, you will not be required to complete the “Declaration of continued insurability questionnaire” section.

    Please mail your completed and signed form to “Income Insurance Limited, Income Centre, 75 Bras Basah Road, Singapore 189557” for the attention of “Group Business – Affinity Schemes”.

  • Q:How do I increase my sum assured under the CEGIS plan?

    A:

    You should note that for any increase in sum assured, your application will be subject to underwriting. There is also an additional check on the maximum sum assured for an individual life in cases of increasing sum assured.

    You will need to fill in and sign the Alteration and Declaration of Continued Insurability Form (Affinity Schemes only) for any increase of sum assured.

  • Q:How do I add Critical Illnesses Rider under the CEGIS plan?

    A:

    You should note that your application to include Critical Illness Rider will be subject to underwriting.

    Please fill in and sign the Alteration and Declaration of Continued Insurability Form (Affinity Schemes only) and mail your completed and signed form to “ Income Insurance Limited, Income Centre, 75 Bras Basah Road, Singapore 189557” for the attention of “Group Business – Affinity Schemes”.

    Your spouse and children can only take up the Critical Illness Rider if you are covered under Critical Illness Rider unless your application has been declined due to underwriting reason.
