FutureX Vacase is an innovative 3D2N case competition programme held at Bintan. It is a specially designed 3 day programme for 8 selected student teams, jam-packed with fruitful workshops, collaborative brainstorming/huddles to solve real life business problems, networking opportunities with Income’s senior management etc. FutureX aims to equip undergraduates with “intrapreneur” tools and skillsets such as Design Thinking and Agile Development. Based on the given problem statement, participants are required to come together in teams of 3 – 4 to spark new ideas, validate assumptions and transform concepts into tangible and creative business solutions. At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Income’s senior management.
All that being said and done, the core of FutureX Vacase is about doing things differently and being directly at the forefront of the digitization movement. Say good bye to working late nights in a cramped meeting room in school and hello to working in comfort at a resort in Bintan. Imagine how much more productive all of your meetings would be if they were held beside the pool!

You will be engaged in Design Thinking workshops, brainstorming/huddle sessions and customer testing to pick-up skills that tackle real world business problems. You will be given plenty of opportunities to explore your interest and create tangible solutions for the problem statements assigned. In addition, to help you unleash your full innovative potential, you will receive exclusive mentorships throughout the event.
In addition, there will also be networking opportunities with Income’s senior management, and industry experts.
The programme will culminate with a battle on Pitch Day, where all teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and your peers.

Firstly, interested participants who have filled out the application form would be given a mini problem statement via email. Participants would have to complete the problem statement in their registered groups (do not worry as the complete details would be given in the said email itself). In essence, just complete a few slides on the problem statement and voilà, you’re are in the running for the top 8 teams!
Shortlisted teams will go through a second round of selection, where they will be doing a pitch to Income's senior management as well as the public. Participants will then receive feedback from Income's senior management to help them further refine their ideas before the 3D2N Vacase.
After the second round of selection, 8 final teams will be selected. These 8 teams will go through the 3D2N Vacase and work on the problem statement. Rest assured that it will be a fun (we are a bunch of really fun people after all) but yet challenging experience at the same time.
Participants would then present their final ideas on Showcase Day (last day of the Vacase) to Income's Executive Committee members. At the end of the Showcase Day, all teams will receive the results and corresponding prizes.
