The Ministry of Health had announced earlier in 2008 that Medishield will be enhanced to provide better coverage to Singaporeans with higher claim limits. In line with the enhanced coverage, the Medishield premium rates have increased. As Medishield is integrated into all Incomeshield plans, there will be a corresponding revision on Incomeshield plans.

Guaranteed Lifetime Coverage

Under Incomeshield M Plans, you can now enjoy hospitalisation coverage beyond the age of 80, without the need for medical underwriting. All you need to do, to enjoy lifetime coverage, is to opt for Incomeshield Plan B or C upon reaching the age of 80.

Premium Discount

The premium discount feature presently found in the Medishield Plus Scheme will continue to apply. Those members currently eligible to this premium discount will continue to do so. The premium discount will be given to the insured for his premiums between ages 71 to 75.
