Moral Home Visit 2007
NTUC Income CNY Visit to the Moral Home for Disabled
"I had a great time!" Kok Hong, one of the residents at the Moral Home for Disabled, perhaps gave NTUC Income volunteers their greatest reward when he declared how he felt about our visit to the Home on 24 Feb 2007 (Sat).
About 90 staff visited NTUC Income's adopted Home at its temporary premises at Mattar Road to bring some festive cheer to its residents.
Staff spent the morning engaging the residents in conversation, games, dance and song.
Our Chief Executive, Mr Tan Suee Chieh, even gamely joined some residents in their energetic dance performance specially put up to thank the NTUC Income group.
Mr Tan and Ms Patricia Ng, Chairman of the NTUC Income Community Services Committee, also presented a $30,000 cash donation to the Home. This donation comprised of our corporate donation of $10,000 and funds raised from various staff activities of another $20,000, including the Staff Charity Day in January.
Corporate hampers, some personal hampers and foodstuff donated by staff, as well as 45 pcs of Creative MP3 players donated by NTUC Income Car Coop, were also presented to the Home.
We would like to thank all donors for your generosity, and all staff involved in the visit for your time, energy and friendship offered to the residents.
Do look out for other community service activities lined up in 2007 - we look forward to seeing you at the events!
