Mr Koh was only 19 years of age when he took up an Endowment Policy of 20 years for a sum assured of $5000 with Income; he was then doing National Service. Mr Koh stopped paying premiums after 3 years; he also moved house soon after. He was not aware that his policy still has a value after premiums were ceased.
When his policy matured in June 1997, Income was unable to locate him because of the change in address. However, after much effort, Income managed to trace him to his current address and informed him of the good news.
Mr Koh came to the office and collected his maturity cheque on the spot; he was very happy that Income took the trouble to contact him and he is really appreciative of the extra effort that was put in. In fact, Mr Koh took up another policy with Income recently.
