Mr Choo made a third party claim for damages to his vehicle caused by a vehicle, insured with NTUC Income. His claim was delayed for about 2 weeks over the dispute on the cost of the repair. Also, both parties were not prepared to give in. In view of the delay, NTUC Income’s staff suggested sending his car to the co-operative’s Quality Workshop for the repair.
Mr Choo’s vehicle is only a year old and still under warranty. His main concern was whether genuine parts will be used for the repair.
He was worried that the Quality Workshop will use "sub-standard parts in
order to cut cost". NTUC Income’s staff and the Claim Department gave assurance to Mr Choo. He was surprised and impressed that his vehicle was repaired promptly and new and original parts were also used. In addition, his vehicle car was polished and delivered to his home after the repair.
Mr Choo felt the whole experience was pleasant and commended on the professional service rendered by Claim Officer, Mr Bernard Han.
