Quick Auto trading Company is a successful automobile repair workshop located at Jurong West. Mr Ang, its director, had worked tirelessly together with his four technicians to ensure that customers get their cars serviced within one working day.
Mr Ang is happily married with 2 children. His son, aged 17 is currently in Temasek Polytechnic, while his younger daughter is taking her O levels this year. His successful auto trading company allowed him to provide for his family a comfortable standard of living.
Two years ago, Mr Ang experienced weakness in his legs and had difficulty walking. He visited his neighbourhood doctor who referred him to NUH. The specialist at NUH diagnosed him as suffering from a disease of the muscles. Recently Mr Ang's condition worsened and is currently wheel chair bound. Being insured with Income, he filed a claim for permanent and total disability.
Today, Mr Ang is no longer able to carry out vehicle repairs. Nonetheless, thanks to the benefit payment of $35,000 from Income, Mr Ang is able to network his home to the office computers which so that he can receive customer orders and enquiries from home.
On the 6th May 1999, we received a letter from Mr Ang. He writes, "I have never knew the importance of insurance till I needed it most. Fortunately for the benefit payment, I am able to make the adjustments I needed. Being able to continue providing for my family while I am physically disabled means a lot to me. Thank you."
